Coworkers watch the news announcement of Damian's engagement and gossip about Seraphina's neck marks. A colleague in a blue suit disperses the crowd and checks on Seraphina. Seraphina walks into Damian's office. He pulls her onto his lap, but she stops him. Damian assigns her to an evening meeting with Louis Moreau. Seraphina points out Louis's history of assault allegations, but Damian insists she can manage on her own.
Sterling Group employees huddle around a monitor to watch the news of Damian's engagement to Isabella Kensington. They mock Seraphina and point out marks on her neck. A female colleague in a blue suit breaks up the group and checks on Seraphina.
Seraphina enters Damian's office. He pulls her onto his lap, but she pulls away because they are at work. Damian orders her to meet client Louis Moreau tonight. Seraphina warns him about Louis's violent past, but Damian dismisses her concerns.
“These elite families marry for status. Her? She's just a secretary who got lucky. No respectable man marries the secretary.”
“Louis Moreau is in town tonight. I need you there.”
“That Louis Moreau? The one with sexual assault allegations and a fatality? You've never sent a female employee to deal with him before.”
“I thought all you cared about was work. It's just Louis. Surely you can handle yourself.”
Damian straightens Seraphina's lapel and coldly tells her she can handle herself with Louis Moreau. Seraphina stares back at him in hurt and disbelief. The episode cuts off right there. Will Seraphina actually go to the meeting with Louis Moreau alone, or will she find a way to protect herself from the predatory client?
