Episode: 2
Ella pours coffee in the Harrington Group breakroom. Outside, Katie and a male colleague plan to make the new hire quit before Technical Director Lisa returns. They catch Ella listening. Katie breaks a mug on the floor, and the male coworker shoves Ella onto the sharp ceramic. Ella's palm bleeds. As Katie raises hot coffee to pour on Ella, footsteps approach outside. Lisa walks through the door and stops in surprise.
Ella stands by herself pouring coffee in the office breakroom. In the hallway, Katie talks with a male colleague. The two discuss plans to force out the new employee before Lisa Madison returns from her business trip.
Katie and the male colleague confront Ella about listening to their conversation. Katie deliberately smashes a ceramic mug onto the floor. The male coworker then shoves Ella down. Ella lands hard on the broken pieces, cutting her palm open.
Ella tells Katie she will report both bullies to Lisa. Katie laughs and points out that the security camera is broken. Katie lifts coffee to pour over Ella's head, but noise from the hallway announces Lisa's early arrival.
Ella shouts out to Lisa from the floor, causing Katie to freeze in panic. Lisa enters the room wearing a business suit. She takes off her sunglasses and stares in shock at Ella sitting injured on the ground.
“Why hasn't that new girl quit yet?”
“Lisa will be back from her business trip soon. You'd better get rid of the new girl before she returns.”
“Lisa, it's Ella. I'm in here!”
“Ella? What are you doing here?”
Lisa Madison walks into the breakroom, takes off her sunglasses, and looks down at Ella in disbelief. She asks Ella what she is doing there. Ella sits on the floor with a cut hand and smiles up at her old college friend. Will Lisa defend Ella against the office bullies, or will their reunion take a dark turn?
