Alexander places a burned-edged contract before Elena for a ninety-nine-day fake engagement. He states that signing keeps Noah alive. Alexander warns her that if she refuses the offer, Thomas gets complete control over her bloodline.
Elena repeats her threat to destroy Alexander's empire if he lies to her. She accepts the deal and presses her hand against the contract paper. A glowing black rose brand burns into the skin of her palm.
Alexander grabs Elena by her glowing wrist and tells her she must follow the contract's rules. He lifts her into his arms. Thomas demands his payment, but Alexander rejects his claim and carries Elena away from the room.
“Mister Draven. Sterling is finished. Her father is dead, her brother owes me 50 million, and this princess is all that's left.”
“Elena! Don't sign anything!”
“Sign it and your brother lives. Refuse, and Thomas owns what's left of your bloodline.”
“If you lie to me, I'll burn your empire down.”
Alexander sweeps Elena into his arms and carries her out of the lounge, brushing off Thomas's demands for cash. Elena leaves with the glowing black rose brand pressed into her palm. How will Elena handle the strict rules of this supernatural contract when she wakes up in Alexander's home?
