Elena wakes up in a penthouse bedroom with her black rose brand glowing red. She asks for Noah and tries to flee, but the mark burns her flesh. Alexander drops the contract before her. In the dressing room, he presents a black rose ring. Elena slaps it down and demands strict boundaries. Alexander accepts, slips it onto her finger, and warns her about Noah. They head into the gala arm in arm.
Elena wakes up in a luxury bedroom as her branded palm faintly glows red. Alexander enters with maids. Elena demands to know where Noah is. When she reaches for the door, the mark bursts with searing pain and stops her.
Alexander tells Elena to dress for a charity gala and offers a black rose ring. Elena knocks the jewelry away. She insists he cannot touch her outside of public events. Alexander agrees, slides the ring on, and reminds her about Noah.
Dressed in an elegant black gown, Elena meets Alexander in the corridor. Alexander tells her she belongs to him now instead of her ruined family. Elena links arms with him, and they walk forward toward the gala entrance together.
“Pain is the contract explaining itself.”
“You picked the wrong woman to tame.”
“I didn't pick you because you're tame.”
“From tonight on you are not Sterling's fallen daughter... You are mine.”
Alexander claims Elena as his own while she stands beside him in a black gown and rose ring. They step out into the charity gala together. Will high society accept her as Alexander's partner, or will his ruthless enemies use her sudden presence against them both?
