Episode: 1
Mara Vance scales a steep cliff on an alien world. A giant flying beast drifts overhead carrying glowing sacks of blue water. Her spherical robot companion spots a detached sack, and Mara cuts it loose to collect it. Suddenly, the rocky shelf fractures beneath her feet. Mara plummets through the thick mist below. She lands inside a huge glowing blue flower, but the petals begin shutting around them while draining their heat.
Mara Vance climbs up a vertical rock wall while a massive aerial whale drifts overhead. Glowing blue sacks hang beneath the creature's belly. Mara keeps moving along the rock face, observing the hovering animal while her spherical robot scans the area.
Her spherical robot companion points out a dark blue sack starting to separate from the beast. Mara slices the sack free to gather drinking water. The stone shelf suddenly cracks under her boots, sending her falling directly into the mist.
Mara drops through the fog and lands safely inside a colossal bioluminescent blue flower. Her spherical robot companion immediately alerts her that the plant is absorbing their body heat. The giant petals start curling shut, locking them inside the cup.
“Water on this planet never stays put.”
“The darker sack has begun to detach.”
“That's our bottle.”
“The flower is drawing heat from us.”
The episode ends with Mara Vance and her robot companion trapped deep within the giant bioluminescent flower. Its thick blue petals close tightly around them while the plant siphons away their precious body heat. How will Mara escape the closing floral trap with her newly acquired water supply before the cold overcomes them?
