Episode 3 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Harvesting the White Membrane

Mara accidentally breathes in yellow powder from a creature's back. She observes a different creature blow the powder away before feeding. Her spherical robot companion blows off the toxic spores, letting Mara slice away an edible membrane that tastes like sourdough bread.

  2. 00:40: Fleeing Into an Organic Burrow

Atmospheric pressure drops fast across the open valley as a massive storm rolls in. Wild creatures scramble away from the weather. Mara Vance and her spherical robot companion run alongside the fleeing animals and duck inside an organic tube-like burrow for shelter.

  3. 00:49: Repairing the Tunnel Wall Breach

Inside the tunnel, Mara Vance spots a breach in the wall. She places her harvested membrane over the tear. Small metallic spider-like creatures immediately weave and stitch the patch into place, which stabilizes the air pressure throughout the organic shelter.

  4. 01:00: Viewing Glowing Tracks at Dusk

Mara eats the harvested membrane while resting safely inside the shelter. She walks to the burrow opening and peers out over the canyon. The ground outside sits damp in the mist, marked by strange puddles and tracks glowing faintly blue.

How Episode 3 Ends

Mara stands at the entrance of the organic burrow and looks out over the misty canyon. The rain leaves the canyon floor damp, and carved trails and puddles glow with a soft blue light across the rock. Where do these luminous tracks lead, and what kind of creatures made them in the valley?
