Episode: 1
After Sophia brings peace to the realm, she relaxes in a hot spring with Mary. Deputy General David betrays Sophia and surrounds her with her own soldiers. When David attempts to strike Sophia down, Mary steps into the blade to protect her. Mary dies in Sophia's arms. The Mysterious Witch appears and presents the Elixir of Immortality. Sophia drinks it, leaves a drop of blood behind Mary's ear, and watches Mary vanish into golden light.
Sophia brings peace to the land after brutal fighting. She sits with her lover Mary in an imperial palace hot spring. The two share an intimate moment together away from the battlefield and the duties of war.
Flashbacks display Sophia conquering dangerous beasts and securing victories in war. Outside the grand palace, her own troops turn against her. Deputy General David steps forward and commands the surrounding soldiers to trap their undefeated leader.
David commands the armed soldiers to attack Sophia. While Sophia resists the assault, David sneaks behind her to deliver a lethal strike. Mary sprints into the path of the weapon and takes the fatal blow instead.
Sophia catches Mary and cradles her on the plaza ground. As Mary bleeds, she professes her love for Sophia. Mary asks Sophia to promise to keep living, then closes her eyes and passes away.
The Mysterious Witch appears before Sophia on the battlefield. She presents the Elixir of Immortality to Sophia. The witch warns that searching for Mary's reincarnated soul will require surviving through centuries of complete loneliness.
Sophia swallows the magical potion without hesitation. She places a single drop of her own blood behind Mary's ear as a mark. Right after, Mary's physical form dissolves into floating golden light across the plaza.
“No wonder they call you the undefeated God of War. Even with all the gods coming after you, you're still standing! Kill her!”
“Sophia... I love you. Promise me you'll keep living.”
“Sophia, this Elixir of Immortality will keep you alive. You may still have a chance to find Mary's soul and bring her back. But you'll have to endure the loneliness.”
“If that's what it takes to find her, I'll wait. Even if it takes ten thousand years.”
Sophia swallows the Elixir of Immortality and marks Mary's ear with a drop of blood. Mary's body dissolves into golden light, leaving Sophia alone on the palace plaza. Sophia vows to search across thousands of years to find Mary. Will Sophia survive the lonely centuries and recognize Mary's soul when she returns in another life?
