Tiffany and her mother, Darlene Weld, confront Vivian in front of everyone. They accuse her of returning after a decade just to exploit Ethan's good fortune. Mr. Weld orders Ethan to get rid of his sister immediately. Ethan stands up for Vivian. He tells them Victor Crane merely lent the home to them and Vivian needs shelter. Tiffany rejects this idea completely. Ethan grabs Vivian's hand and walks out with her.
Tiffany and Darlene Weld confront Vivian in the banquet hall. They claim she disappeared for a decade and only returned to leech off Ethan's penthouse. Backing his family, Mr. Weld commands Ethan to throw his sister out of the party.
Ethan defends Vivian to his in-laws. He reminds them that Victor Crane merely lent them the home, and his sister needs a place to stay. Tiffany erupts in anger, stating that no outsider will ever set foot inside.
Ethan refuses to obey his wife's demands. He turns his back on Tiffany and the Welds. He takes Vivian by the hand and tells her they are going straight to the penthouse together right at that moment.
“I'm your wife. That penthouse is my home too. It's for us and my parents. If I say no, no outsider is moving in.”
“Viv, you're staying with me. Come on. I'll take you to see the place right now.”
Ethan refuses to back down against Tiffany and her parents. He takes Vivian by the hand and leads her away from the banquet hall. He plans to settle her into the luxury penthouse right now. Will Tiffany and her family follow them to the apartment, or will they find another way to stop Vivian from moving in?
