Episode: 2
Clara halts her car right in front of Gabriel on a rainy street. She steps out into the downpour to make sure he is unhurt. Clara brings him inside her vehicle, where they trade names. Gabriel tells her he has nowhere to stay. A flashback shows his father, Ricardo Costa, disowned him and froze his cards over an arranged marriage. Feeling sympathy, Clara invites Gabriel back to her home.
Clara halts her vehicle abruptly when she sees Gabriel standing in front of it. She exits into the stormy weather to ask if he was hurt. Clara invites the wet stranger into her car so they can speak safely.
Inside the vehicle, Clara introduces herself and asks for his name. Gabriel shares who he is and explains his current situation. He tells Clara that he no longer has a home or a place where he can return tonight.
A flashback shows Gabriel in his luxury car with his driver. Ricardo Costa calls and threatens to freeze his bank cards unless he agrees to marry Sofia Lima. Gabriel refuses the demand, severs family ties, and steps out into the rain.
Back in the present, Clara listens to Gabriel. She feels sympathy for his stranded situation on the wet street. Because the storm continues outside, Clara tells Gabriel to come with her to her own home for now.
“I'm Clara Santos. What's your name?”
“I... don't have a home anymore.”
“Starting now, every one of your cards is frozen. From this moment on, you have nothing to do with the Costa family!”
“It's pouring. Come home with me for now!”
Clara invites Gabriel back to her place to get out of the downpour. Gabriel accepts her offer instead of spending the cold night on the streets. How will Clara handle bringing a completely strange man into her home, and how will Gabriel keep his true background as a Costa heir hidden from her?
