Episode: 3
Cassian informs Adrian that he is a guy. Nearby classmates erupt into loud laughter and tease the prince for confusing a man with a woman. Adrian cries as he stammers out apologies. He knocks into a tray of pastries and swims away. A male student advises Cassian to brush it off. Cassian swims past the student and heads straight into the kelp forest to catch Adrian.
Cassian turns to face Adrian and plainly states that he is a guy. The surrounding classmates hear the statement and burst into loud mockery. They openly ridicule Adrian for confusing the academy guard instructor with a woman.
Adrian bursts into tears and repeatedly apologizes to Cassian for his error. In his rush to escape the crowd, he bumps into a tray of pastries. The prince then flees along the academy corridor away from the laughing onlookers.
Cassian tries to follow Adrian along the path. A student tells him not to take the awkward moment personally. Cassian ignores the remark and swims into the dense kelp forest, determined to finish what he wanted to say.
“I'm a guy.”
“The guard instructor? He just confessed to Instructor Cassian. Your Highness can't tell a guy from a girl?”
“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to. I got it wrong. I'm so sorry. I didn't know, I swear I didn't know.”
“Wait. Just let me finish.”
Cassian swims along the kelp forest trail to catch up with Adrian. He wants to finish the words he started to say before the prince ran away. Will Cassian reach Adrian in time to explain himself, or will the heartbroken prince disappear into hiding to nurse his wounded pride?
