Episode: 4
Adrian swims into an underwater reef cave and collapses on the ground. He cries bitterly while examining the wounds across his arms and tail. Overwhelmed by shame about his weight and his failed confession, he spots a glowing golden conch shell resting on the sand. Sensing its gaze on him, Adrian reaches forward to make contact. The moment his fingers touch it, a powerful golden vortex bursts out and swallows him completely.
Adrian flees into a dark reef cave and collapses onto the rocky floor. He breaks down in tears while inspecting the painful scrapes on his arms and fishtail. His failed confession and heavy body fill him with deep self-hatred.
Adrian notices a strange conch shell shining with golden light upon the sandy cave floor. He senses an eerie feeling that the shell is actively watching him. Drawn toward the warm radiance, he extends his hand to touch the object.
The instant Adrian's fingers press against the shell, an intense golden whirlpool of energy explodes into the water. The roaring magic expands through the cave. The violent storm surges over Adrian, completely trapping and consuming him inside the radiant vortex.
“Why, why is everything I do wrong? Being fat is wrong, confessing is wrong, even just recognizing someone is wrong. I can't do anything right.”
“If, if I were better looking, if I were thinner, would people stop laughing at me? If I could just be someone else for one day...”
“What's what is this? Why is it glowing? Is it alive? It feels like it's watching me.”
Golden energy erupts from the mysterious shell and engulfs Adrian entirely within a turbulent magical storm. The brilliant light seals him inside as the episode cuts to black. Will this unexpected power destroy the hopeless prince, or will the enchanted conch grant his desperate wish to change his appearance before anyone finds him?
