Episode: 5
Maya Brooks stops Shopkeeper Finch from kicking Leo Vance out of the apothecary. She inspects Leo's century-old purple ginseng and realizes it can cure her sick grandfather. Maya fires Finch and calls the police on him. Looking at a scar on Leo's neck, Maya recognizes him as her forest savior. She pays Leo two million yuan for the herb, and he heads off to rebuild his family farm.
Maya Brooks steps forward and stops Shopkeeper Finch from having security guards remove Leo Vance. Finch argues that Leo is trying to cheat them with fake herbs. Maya dismisses Finch's excuse and insists on inspecting the medicine herself under shop rules.
Leo Vance brings out his glowing purple ginseng. Maya Brooks identifies it as the medicine needed for her bedridden grandfather. She uncovers Finch's attempt to force a five-thousand-yuan sale, discharges Finch from his job, and contacts the police for a full investigation.
Maya apologizes to Leo for Finch's conduct and discusses purchasing the root. When Leo turns his back, Maya notices a distinct scar on his neck. She matches the mark to the mountain expert who rescued her from the wild boar king.
Maya offers Leo two million yuan for the purple ginseng root to settle her debt of gratitude. Leo takes the money and tells her to contact him if she needs rare goods. He walks out while Maya watches him leave.
“您难道就是前些天在深山里降服了野猪王救了我的那位世外高人？”
“两百万不仅是买药，更是我沈月向您报恩的心意，请您务必收下。”
Leo collects the two million yuan payment and walks out of the herbal shop with Maya Brooks smiling behind him. With this fortune in hand, Leo plans to use the Mountain God Seal to develop his family property. Will this new capital be enough to launch his business ventures against his scheming family?
