A doctor tells Evelyn that her wolf went dormant from trauma and needs a safe environment to awaken. Noah comforts Evelyn with a sweet in the hall. Rowan meets them outside, later giving Evelyn a personal vehicle and ordering his pack never to use Alpha pressure against her. During a market trip with Noah, Evelyn runs into Adrian Mercer. Adrian demands she come back to serve his family, shoves Noah, and Noah bites him.
A doctor examines Evelyn with Noah standing nearby. The physician explains that past trauma caused Evelyn's wolf to retreat into dormancy. She advises Evelyn to stay close to people who provide a strong sense of safety instead of relying on medicine.
Noah walks into the hallway with Evelyn and asks if she feels any pain. He hands her a piece of candy. Evelyn starts crying as she compares Noah's gentleness to the cruelty she endured from her ex-husband's family.
Rowan arrives outside the building in a hurry after Martha contacts him about their trip. He checks on both Evelyn and his son. Noah stands tall and announces to his father that he will always stay brave beside Evelyn.
Rowan gathers his pack inside the council room and presents Evelyn with her own car. He issues a direct order forbidding all members from releasing Alpha auras near her, granting her respect and physical autonomy within the estate.
Evelyn and Noah browse vendor stalls together on a weekend outing. Adrian Mercer suddenly cuts off their path. He mocks Evelyn for working as a nanny, orders her to apologize to his mother, and insists that she return to his house.
Noah moves in front of Evelyn to block Adrian. Adrian knocks Noah backward onto the ground and grabs Evelyn by the arm. Noah jumps back onto his feet, rushes forward, and sinks his teeth right into Adrian's leg.
“Don't lose hope. Your wolf isn't stupid. She knows where it's safe. Surrounding yourself with people who make you feel secure works better than any medicine.”
“When it hurts, eat candy. That's how Rowan used to comfort me. It really works.”
“Admit you were wrong and bow your head to my mother, and I'll let you come back to serve me!”
“Get away! Don't you dare bully my mom!”
Noah sinks his teeth into Adrian's leg after Adrian shoves him and seizes Evelyn's arm. Adrian remains trapped in the middle of the crowded market with the angry boy holding on tight. Will Adrian retaliate against Noah before help arrives, or will Rowan step in to punish Evelyn's ex-husband for attacking his son and mate?
