Layla's companion knocks down the household guards with ease. A grey-haired veteran steps forward, mocking Layla and rolling up his sleeves for a duel. Layla tells her guard to stand down and catches the veteran's punch with one hand. She beats him down quickly. The veteran draws a hidden dagger coated in silver poison and plunges it into her shoulder. He brags that her flesh will rot away in three seconds. Layla smiles, pulls the blade out unharmed, and asks him how many seconds have passed.
