Marcus recoils in terror after spotting the scar on Layla's shoulder. Layla uses her supernatural strength to hurl Marcus across the room, leaving him battered and bleeding on the floor. Darian and the older woman try to scare her by announcing that the werewolf leader Lord Kane is on his way. They claim she is not even fit to shine his shoes. Layla remains completely calm while they boast about Kane's violent past. Suddenly, the double doors blast open as Lord Kane arrives.
