At the wedding altar, guests mock Elara for trying to stage a fake display with cheap boats. Seraphine wears the sacred carved laurel wreath Elara risked her life to make. Adrian defends Seraphine, downplaying her wearing the wreath. When Seraphine pretends to prick her finger on it, Adrian snaps at Elara and accuses her of being cruel. The argument stops when a young girl spots a boat in the mist.
Guests laugh at Elara and claim she hired cheap boats to avoid embarrassment. Meanwhile, Seraphine claims she only got her dress wet while trying to rescue Elara's laurel wreath from the water. Elara stands quietly amid the insults.
Elara recalls gathering laurel branches in the dangerous woods and carving elven vows into them with her own hands. Back at the altar, she sees her meaningful handcrafted wreaths sitting on the heads of Adrian and Seraphine instead.
Adrian brushes off Seraphine wearing the wreath, saying she will remove it soon. Seraphine cries out and pretends the wreath pricked her skin. Adrian rushes to coddle Seraphine and angrily demands to know why Elara pushes her so far.
The confrontation by the lake comes to an abrupt halt. A young elf girl points across the misty surface of the water. She calls out loudly to the crowd, announcing that another flower boat is traveling toward the shore.
“Elara don't go hiring people to put on a fake show with some cheap flower barges just to save face.”
“Sarafina was just trying it on, she'll take it off in a minute.”
“Ah, ouch! Elara, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to keep it on.”
“Elara, do you really have to push her this far before you'll stop?”
“A boat! Another flower boat!”
Adrian continues berating Elara for hurting Seraphine's feelings, but the wedding crowd turns toward the water. A young elf girl shouts that a new flower boat is heading toward the altar through the heavy mist. Who is on board this mystery vessel, and did they come in response to Elara's summons?
