Adrian tells Elara to stop making a scene as the wedding guests watch by the riverbank. He declares that she will join him on his boat when the bell rings. A decorated boat drifts past, but the man on it shouts to cross the river before the bell. The crowd mocks Elara when they realize the vessel is not for her. Seraphine scolds Elara for shaming her parents, while Adrian orders Elara to board.
Guests gather along the riverbank to watch the confrontation. Adrian tells Elara to stop creating a scene in front of everyone. He insists that she will step onto his flower boat as soon as the bell rings.
A decorated boat glides past the bank through the water. A man on board calls out to clear the way so his group can cross before the moon bell. The wedding crowd sees the mistake and mocks Elara.
Adrian reaches out his hand toward Elara and orders her to step onto the boat for their wedding. Seraphine criticizes Elara for being stubborn and claims she is putting her parents, Elowen and Aelric, to shame.
“When that bell rings, you'll still end up on my boat.”
“Excuse us! We need to cross the river before the moon bell rings!”
“Come on, get on the boat, let's get married. Do you really want to make me angry?”
“Adrian has always loved you, why else would he be here to marry you?”
Adrian reaches out his hand to Elara and demands that she board his boat before he loses his temper. Seraphine stands beside him on the deck and urges Elara to stop embarrassing her family. Will Elara give in to the crowd's mockery and take Adrian's hand, or will another boat appear before the moon bell rings?
