Old Lady Vance explains that she took the pills on purpose to force Julian to employ an evening nanny. Grateful for Aria's rescue, the matriarch hires her on a massive salary with a completion bonus. Aria accepts the terms to cover Annie's medical expenses. Julian and Victoria Vance offer harsh warnings about probation. Outside a bedroom door, a shrieking maid escapes as a vase flies toward Aria.
Old Lady Vance explains that she intentionally swallowed sleeping pills to force Julian into selecting an evening nanny. Impressed that Aria saved her life, the matriarch offers her one hundred thousand dollars a month, double performance bonuses, and a massive thirty-day bonus.
Thinking about Annie's medical bills, Aria signs the employment contract to officially take the job. Julian Vance instructs Richard to drive Old Lady Vance to a private hospital for further medical care.
Victoria Vance mocks Aria, saying she will never survive probation. Julian Vance reminds Aria that she is only present because of his grandmother and bans her from entering his bedroom without passing her probation.
Julian and Aria stop outside a double door on the upper floor. The doors fling wide open, and a maid flees in terror while someone hurls a heavy white vase directly at Aria.
“I'm making the call. Aria is the one! 100,000 a month, and double her performance bonus!”
“You saved my life, so I'm giving you a $500,000 bonus. Finish your first month, and you'll get it.”
“Survive probation first, then we'll talk about keeping you on.”
Aria stands in the upper hallway outside a double door to start her duties. The doors swing open, a panicked maid flees in terror, and someone throws a white vase straight at Aria. Will Aria dodge the projectile and discover who is raging behind the doors, or will her probation end before her first night begins?
