Episode 8 recap: A Plea From Home

Violet remembers the night her brother Danny drugged and sold her three years earlier, forcing her to flee into a dark room with an unknown man. Back in the banquet hall, Raphina begins the ceremony. Edward interrupts his mother, deliberately changing the subject to announce a new border trade market instead of acknowledging Violet's pack status. Violet feels crushed by his rejection. Moments later, a black raven flies to her chamber window carrying an urgent letter from Danny. He writes that their mother is dying and demands her return.
