Victor Kane meets Archer Vance by a luxury pool to ask for protection. Vance gets an incoming transmission ordering the destruction of the Black Viper Consortium. A commander on a laptop screen informs Victor that his son Ryan insulted Lord Ares at NEXUS AI. Outside, a henchman warns Ryan that their accounts are frozen. Victor calls screaming at Ryan to stay still, but Ryan assumes his father is arriving to crush Emma.
Victor Kane bows before Archer Vance by a luxury infinity pool, asking the Sovereign Syndicate to protect his overseas channels. Vance's comms device suddenly sounds an urgent command from Lord Ares to initiate a total financial wipeout against Black Viper.
Vance tells Victor his syndicate is blacklisted. Victor falls to his knees in terror to ask why. An assistant opens a laptop, and the commander on screen states that Ryan insulted Lord Ares directly outside the NEXUS AI headquarters.
A henchman informs Ryan that their stock crashed and all overseas accounts are frozen. Victor calls Ryan, screaming at him to shut up and wait. Ryan misreads his father's fury as support and smugly threatens Emma to sign the contract.
“Order from Lord Ares. Initiate a total financial wipeout on Black Viper Consortium immediately.”
“You didn't offend me. You offended someone you can never afford to displease.”
“Shut your damn mouth. Don't move. Don't say another word. I'm coming right now.”
“My dad is coming in person. Emma, your last chance to sign is almost gone.”
Ryan smiles at Emma after hanging up the phone call. He believes Victor is rushing across town to help him take over NEXUS AI. In reality, his family's finances are wiped out because he provoked Ares. What will happen to Ryan when his furious father pulls up outside the building?
