Episode 7 recap: Shameless Claims
Xiaojun asks his parents if they plan to attend the evening banquet. His father refuses, explaining that genuine help should never be given with expectations of repayment. Moments later, Xinyi's father barges into their courtyard with his son. He orders the family to attend the feast at the square. He tells them to remind Xinyi of their past help so she might throw them a job or a favor. Xiaojun's mother grows furious at his arrogant charity talk and flatly rejects the offer.
