Royal Love: The Stand-In Is His Lost Love

Royal Love: The Stand-In Is His Lost Love Episode Guide

1. EP 1: The Arrival

Young Liam and Ivy fall off a cliff while fleeing attackers. When a monster attacks Liam, Ivy destroys her own magic to slay the beast. Fifteen years later, King Liam scolds his commander for failing to find his savior with the matching ring necklace. His mother orders him to enter an arranged marriage. Ivy Amber arrives at the royal palace in a carriage. Liam greets her coldly and tells Grace to settle her in. Grace uses wind magic to trip Ivy on the steps. Ivy's ring drops and rolls across the stone right in front of Liam.

2. EP 2: The Forbidden Greenhouse

Amber reaches for the fallen ring with a bleeding hand. Liam calls for a healer and tells Grace to teach her royal rules. Grace takes Amber to her west wing bedroom and mocks the idea of living with the king. Through the window, Amber spots snowbell flowers in the glass conservatory. The sight reminds her of a childhood promise to marry anyone who gave her a garden of snowbells. Amber believes Liam planted them for her. Grace gives her permission to enter, then smiles because Liam declared the garden strictly forbidden.

3. EP 3: Broken Illusions

Inside the conservatory, Ivy wears a flower crown among the white blooms. Liam spots her and recalls his past with Vee on a sunny hillside. He gently cups Ivy's face and whispers Vee's name. The spell shatters when Ivy addresses him as Your Majesty. Liam snaps into sudden fury. He chokes Ivy off the ground and demands to know who gave her permission to enter. Ivy asks if the garden was her wedding gift. Liam throws her violently into the dirt. He calls her a mere political tool chosen by his mother.

4. EP 4: Cruel Punishment

Ivy crawls through the dirt and finds her ring. Liam returns with his attendants and accuses her of degrading royal dignity. Ivy argues that being king does not give him permission to hurt her. Liam grabs her hair and slams her down. He declares that every flower she touched is now filthy. He commands the entire garden replaced immediately. Liam instructs Grace to drill Ivy on palace rules until she learns them completely. Before he walks away, Liam orders Grace to destroy Ivy's hands so they will never disobey again.

5. EP 5: The Broken Chain

Maids drag Ivy away while Liam lingers in the greenhouse. He spots a broken gold chain caught in the rose bushes. The realization strikes him that Ivy might be his missing Vee, and he orders guards to fetch a royal healer. Meanwhile, maids throw Ivy onto her bed. Ivy confronts the blonde attendant who set her up and slaps her across the face. The furious attendant binds Ivy to the bed with dark magic chains. She commands the maids to bring heavy hammers down on Ivy's hands.

6. EP 6: Torture in Secret

Chained to the bed, Ivy warns the noblewoman that the Queen Mother will punish anyone who harms the new queen. The woman mocks her words. She points out that healing magic will erase every injury before anyone notices. She also casts a spell to soundproof the bedroom. A maid places an iron spike against Ivy's hand and drives it straight through with a hammer. Outside, Liam walks down the corridor without knowing about the torture. In the bedroom, the woman gathers fiery magic in her palm to disfigure Ivy's face.

7. EP 7: A Race Against Time

The blonde noblewoman scratches Ivy's cheek with a sharp nail. Ivy refuses to break. She tells the woman that Liam will never love such a cruel person. Enraged, the noblewoman dissolves the metal chains with magic. She lifts Ivy into the air inside a floating sphere of water to drown her. Liam sprints through palace corridors and rushes up the stairs. Ivy loses consciousness as her hairpin drops to the floor. Liam kicks the doors open and screams for the tormentor to stop before Ivy drowns.
