Under the watch of Ms. Pierce and a uniformed man, Avery calls Roman from the school hallway. Roman picks up while aiming a gun at thugs in a warehouse, happily asking if she earned high marks. Avery hears wolf howls and violent beatings through the speaker as Roman orders his men to clear the bodies. When Roman hears Avery weeping, he asks if someone is bullying her, reloads his weapon, and heads out.
Avery stands in the school hallway under the strict gaze of Ms. Pierce and a uniformed man. Forced to contact her family, Avery dials Roman on her mobile phone while both adults watch her every move.
Inside an industrial warehouse, Roman points a gun at cornered thugs. He answers Avery's call with an upbeat tone, instantly asking his adoptive daughter if she made the honor roll again.
Avery hears wolf howls, brutal fighting, and terrified screams echoing through the receiver. Blood covers Roman's hand and face as he turns from the phone to instruct his subordinates to clean up the mess.
Roman catches the sound of Avery sobbing through the line. He demands to know if someone is bullying her, slides fresh ammunition into his handgun, and tells her he is heading to the school.
“Dad, my teacher wants you to come to school.”
“Did you make honor roll again?”
“Clean up the mess.”
“What's wrong, sweetheart? Is someone bullying you? Stay right there, I'm coming.”
Roman cocks his handgun and prepares to leave the bloody warehouse, telling Avery to stay put because he is on his way. The episode ends as he rushes to defend his daughter. Will Roman arrive at the school before Avery faces more abuse from the administrators, or will she try to stop him from coming?
