Lucifer Valentine launches the lead werewolf thug across the lounge into a table. The remaining thugs plead for their lives, but Lucifer executes them with glowing eyes. Chloe cowers on the couch in fright and pushes Lucifer away when he reaches for her face. Lucifer reveals that he knows Finn needs Bloodvine for his Nightshade Bat overdose. He tells Chloe she can have the herb only if she becomes his contract mate.
Lucifer kicks the lead werewolf across the room into a table. The other thugs drop down and plead for mercy. Lucifer's eyes glow brightly as he slaughters every attacker for laying hands on his fated mate.
Chloe cowers against the couch after watching the violent massacre. Lucifer steps closer and gently strokes her cheek, calling her his rose. Chloe angrily slaps his hand away and yells that he is an awful monster and thug.
Lucifer tells Chloe he knows Finn overdosed on Nightshade Bat and needs Bloodvine to live. Chloe begs for a chance to pay him back. Instead, Lucifer demands that she serve as his contract mate during his rut.
“Mr. Lucifer, please! Don't kill me. Please!”
“You bunch of sleazes! How dare you touch my fated mate? Unforgivable!”
“Get away! Don't touch me, you monster!”
“I want you to be my contract mate. When I'm in rut, you'll soothe me with your body and your scent whenever I need you. Say yes, and the Bloodvine is yours.”
Lucifer waits in silence after presenting his harsh trade. Chloe sits frozen on the couch, desperate to save Finn's life yet terrified of surrendering herself to the deadly Alpha. Will Chloe agree to become Lucifer's contract mate to get the Bloodvine, or will she walk away and seek another path to rescue her brother?
