Episode: 7
Kaestra rests by the lakeside waterfall and asks Soren what his true beast form looks like. Purple lightning bursts around Soren as he shifts into a huge winged black dragon. Soren offers her a flight, and she mounts his back. High above the valley, Kaestra recalls Alistair refusing to carry her when she was injured. Stroking Soren's scales, Kaestra pledges that every traitor will face retribution.
Kaestra rests in Soren's arms beside the waterfall and asks about his true beast form. Soren responds, releases crackling purple lightning, and shifts his body into a massive black dragon with wide wings.
Soren invites Kaestra to ride on his back. Kaestra climbs up between his wings. Soren beats his massive wings against the lakeside air and launches straight up into the open sky.
Kaestra remembers a past journey along the forest trail toward the academy gates. Alistair refused to let an injured Kaestra ride him after gathering crystals, but he carried Gail simply for twisting an ankle.
High above the mountain valley, Kaestra rides Soren through the air. She gently strokes the dark scales on his back and resolves that every traitor will face the consequences of their actions.
“What do you look like in your true beast form?”
“You want to see.”
“Want to ride a dragon?”
“This time, I'll make every traitor pay the price.”
Kaestra flies through the sky on Soren's back, looking out over the mountain valley with steady resolve. She strokes his scales as she commits to punishing everyone who betrayed her in the past. How will Gail and Alistair react when they discover that Soren is not a weak lizard, but a legendary black dragon?
