She arrives for their first date, only for Dylan to sit across from her.

    Nathaniel corners Claire against a corridor wall and leans in to kiss her. Dylan steps in and tells his brother to back off. Claire shoves Nathaniel away and tells both brothers that she does not belong to either of them.

    Claire sits at a piano and plays with a smile. In her voiceover, she reflects on the cherished dream she held for years. She notes how that long-treasured hope would soon be destroyed by the events ahead.

  3. 01:09: Dylan's Campus Confession

    During her junior year on campus, Dylan approaches Claire with a bouquet of red roses. He asks her out in front of other students. Claire immediately turns him down because she already knows about his playboy reputation.

  4. 01:27: Three Months of Texting

    Nathaniel obtains Claire's contact details through her friend Sophie Miller and sends her a message. Claire has harbored feelings for Nathaniel for six years. Delighted by the outreach, she spends the next three months exchanging texts with him.

    Claire puts on a white gown and waits at a cafe for Nathaniel. Dylan walks inside with a group of friends instead. He sits down directly across from Claire, calls her his girlfriend, and slides his phone onto the table.
