Nathaniel orders Claire not to hurt Dylan before sending her home. Dylan sits beside her and apologizes. The next Saturday, Dylan leaves their date after receiving a racing invitation, and Claire urges him to go. She visits the piano shop to play. Flashbacks recall how Nathaniel praised her music and shared duets for months. Claire suddenly shuts her sheet music and tells Nathaniel she might never return to the store.
Nathaniel strictly warns Claire against hurting his younger brother Dylan. He arranges for someone to take Claire back home. Dylan sits down right beside Claire in the hallway and offers her an apology.
Dylan takes Claire out on Saturday for some time together. His phone rings with an invitation from a friend to go racing. Claire tells him to go ahead and have a good time without her.
Claire walks up to the piano store to practice. An employee outside mentions that the owner has spent a long time waiting for her. Claire looks through the door and spots Nathaniel waiting inside.
Claire sits at the keys and begins to practice. Flashbacks show the first day Nathaniel praised her playing. The memory tracks the past months they spent sitting side by side playing duets together.
Nathaniel notices that something is clearly bothering Claire while she plays. Claire stops, closes her sheet music, and says she might not come back anymore. She adds that she will miss the store.
“Dylan cares about you. I don't want him getting hurt. Do you understand?”
“You're here to practice! The boss has been waiting ages for you... I mean, he happens to be here.”
“I'm okay. I just might not come back. I'll miss this place.”
“Why?”
Claire abruptly shuts her music book and announces that she might not come back to the shop, even though she will miss it. Nathaniel stands there looking stunned and simply asks her why. Will Claire tell Nathaniel the real truth about why she cannot keep playing duets with him?
