Five years have passed. Emily Carter lands at the airport with her son, Leo. Nearby, Alexander Hawthorn walks with his assistant, who explains that the famous surgeon has arrived to perform an operation. Leo drops a candy, and Alexander picks it up. Emily spots Alexander's face and immediately remembers their past encounter. Before Alexander can piece things together, Emily pulls Leo away, leaving the assistant stunned by how much the boy resembles Alexander.

Episode 3 Scene by Scene

  1. 00:00: Return After Five Years

    Emily Carter arrives at the airport alongside her young son, Leo. Outside on the walkway, Alexander Hawthorn listens to his assistant explain that the skilled surgeon has arrived in the city today to perform a critical surgery on a patient.

  2. 00:15: Leo Drops His Candy

    Leo drops his lollipop near the crosswalk. Alexander bends down and hands it back. Leo hugs the tall man and whispers that his mother forbids sweets, so he gives the treat to Alexander as a small present instead.

  3. 00:30: Encounter at the Airport

    Emily calls for Leo and takes off her sunglasses. She instantly recognizes Alexander's face from five years ago. Alexander asks if they know each other. Leo teases him for using an old line, and Emily hurries her son away.

  4. 01:03: A Familiar Face

    Alexander's assistant answers a phone call about an escaped patient from the hospital. As Emily and her son walk off into the crowd, the assistant stares at Leo and tells Alexander that the boy looks just like him.

“Have we met?”

Mr. Hawthorn · He asks Emily this after looking directly at her face outside the airport terminal.

“Sir, your pickup line is so old. Like that, you'll never get my mom.”

Leo · Leo cuts in when Alexander asks Emily if the two of them have met.

“Mr. Hawthorn... the hospital called. He ran off again. This kid looks just like you.”

Assistant · The assistant delivers the hospital update and notes the child's identical features to Alexander.

How Episode 3 Ends

Emily rushes Leo away from the terminal to keep distance from Alexander. Meanwhile, the assistant delivers news about someone escaping from the hospital and points out the child's uncanny resemblance to Alexander. Will Alexander chase after the mother and son, or will the hospital emergency force him to turn his attention elsewhere?
