Outside on the marble staircase, Vanessa confronts Elodie with harsh insults. When Elodie talks back, Vanessa shoves her down the long steps. Elodie lands hard at the base, bleeding and crying out for Dominic.

00:00: Dominic Leaves For His Meeting
An aide approaches Dominic in the corridor outside the banquet hall to report that the gang meeting is starting. Dominic leaves Elodie alone near the stairs without a word and hurries upstairs toward the conference room.
00:14: Vanessa Confronts Dominic
Vanessa steps into the meeting room to bring up their engagement ceremony. Dominic mispronounces her surname, tells her he rejected her family's marriage offer because he already has a woman, and orders her to leave the room.
00:42: Argument On The Stairs
Vanessa marches down the marble spiral staircase in anger after Dominic rejects her. She runs into Elodie on the steps, insults her directly, and insists that Dominic will still end up marrying her no matter what.

Vanessa loses her temper at the stair landing and shoves Elodie backward down the steep flight. Elodie crashes onto the floor below, clutches her stomach in pain, and bleeds while Vanessa covers her mouth in panic.
