Vanessa's mother rushes into the hospital room, slaps Raymond Carter, and rips the organ donation agreement into scraps. She throws the transplant doctors out of the room. Raymond acts submissive and hands her a glass of drugged water. Vanessa's mother drinks it and faints. Dr. Cara Morrison rushes her to the emergency room. Left alone with his paralyzed wife, Raymond calls to arrange an immediate cremation.
Vanessa's mother charges into the hospital room and knocks the surgeon's scalpel away. She delivers a hard slap across Raymond Carter's face. She accuses him of trying to carve up her daughter, rips up the donation forms, and throws the transplant doctors out.
Raymond pretends to yield to his mother-in-law's fury. He picks up the spiked glass of water sitting on the table and offers it to her. Dr. Cara Morrison panics silently without speaking up. Vanessa's mother swallows the water and collapses to the floor.
Raymond urges Dr. Cara Morrison to take his unconscious mother-in-law to the emergency room right away. Kara warns Raymond sternly not to touch Vanessa Carter before she gets back. Raymond agrees to her demand without any argument.
Once the room empties, Raymond smirks coldly at his paralyzed wife on the bed. He pulls out his phone and dials a number. He commands the voice on the other end to pick up Vanessa's body right away for an emergency cremation.
“Shut up you bastard! You're trying to kill my daughter!”
“Oh god, that water is drugged. She can't drink it.”
“Raymond! Don't touch Vanessa's body until I come back!”
“Hello, this is Raymond Carter. Come collect my wife's body now. I need an emergency cremation.”
With Vanessa's mother unconscious and Dr. Cara Morrison occupied in the emergency room, Raymond stands completely alone beside Vanessa's bed. He makes the call to have her body hauled away to the incinerator immediately. Will the transport team arrive and take Vanessa away before Dr. Kara returns to the room to stop the cremation?
