Episode: 8
Raymond wheels Vanessa into Holy Fire Crematorium and pays a cash bribe to bypass a two-hour delay. Outside a school, Colton Asher collects Amy in a sports car and laughs about Raymond weeping at the hospital. Back in the furnace chamber, Raymond takes charge of the control console. He wipes a tear from Vanessa's face, rolls her inside the chamber, and positions his hand above the ignition switch.
Raymond rolls Vanessa's gurney down the hallway of Holy Fire Crematorium. A worker explains that there is a two-hour wait. Raymond hands over a thick wad of bills for immediate VIP service so the anesthesia does not wear off.
Colton Asher meets Amy beside a red sports car outside her private school. Amy asks if Raymond will catch them. Colton laughs and claims Raymond is crying at the hospital. He promises they will soon celebrate with Vanessa.
Inside the furnace chamber, Raymond demands to run the equipment himself. The attendant shows him the green loading button and the red ignition button. Raymond pulls the sheet from Vanessa's face, wipes away a tear, and whispers his final judgment.
Raymond hits the green button on the console. The gurney glides forward into the furnace chamber, and the heavy metal doors shut tight behind Vanessa. Raymond lifts his hand and holds his fingers right over the red ignition switch.
“Two hours? The anesthetic will wear off. She'll wake up inside the furnace.”
“That loser is at the hospital sobbing over your mom's body. After tonight, we're finally a real family.”
“My dear Vanessa, you chose betrayal, so I'll open the gates of hell for you myself.”
“Burn in hell, Vanessa.”
Raymond seals Vanessa inside the cremation chamber with the push of a button. The heavy doors lock her in the dark while she remains immobilized by drugs. Raymond hovers his hand inches from the red ignition switch. Will Raymond press the button and burn his living wife before anyone arrives to stop him?
