Bill rides his delivery scooter when Susan's doctor calls. The hospital demands three hundred thousand dollars immediately, or Susan gets discharged. Bill rings his girlfriend Jenny to ask for his savings back. Jenny refuses from Conley Scott's bed and says Susan should die. Devastated, Bill continues making deliveries to raise cash. At an intersection, a red sports car hits him, and lightning strikes him simultaneously, igniting a strange glow in his eye.

    Bill pulls over to the curb and calls Jenny. He begs her to return his savings for his sister's surgery. Jenny lies in bed with Conley Scott. She rejects Bill's plea, keeps the money, and tells him that Susan should die.

    Bill leans against his scooter and weeps on the roadside. A memory of the hospital room surfaces in his mind. He remembers standing beside Susan while she lay comatose in the intensive care unit, where he promised to save her life.

    Bill hurries through traffic on his scooter to finish orders. At an intersection, a red sports car hits him. Bill flies into the air, and a bolt of lightning strikes him. The shock sparks an intense cosmic glow inside his eye.

    Bill lands heavily on the hard asphalt after the double impact. The blonde driver stops her red sports car and steps out onto the road. She rushes over to Bill's motionless body to see if he is still alive.
