Vanessa Taylor enters the boutique alongside her sister Gina and apologizes for hitting him with her car. Bill checks her lifespan with his vision and sees it collapse to twenty-two. He urges her to stay put, but Gina insults him.

Vanessa Taylor enters the jewelry shop with her sister Gina. She spots Bill, recognizes him as the man she hit with her car earlier that morning, and asks if he is uninjured while offering an apology.
Bill uses his awakened vision on Vanessa Taylor. Above her head, her lifespan counter changes from twenty-two out of eighty-seven to twenty-two out of twenty-two. The glowing digits turn a bright red.
Alarmed by the red numbers, Bill warns Vanessa Taylor that her life could end within ten minutes. He pleads with her to stay inside the boutique. Vanessa becomes upset, believing he wants to curse her.
Gina steps between them and claims Bill made up the death warning to hit on Vanessa Taylor. Insulted by her harsh remarks, Bill walks out the doorway and leaves the shop.
“Listen. You could die in the next ten minutes. I know that sounds insane, but please trust me. For ten minutes... don't go anywhere, okay?”
“I know I hit you this morning. I was wrong, and I apologized. I'll pay your medical bills. Why are you cursing me now?”
“You dress like a broke loser and still think you have a shot with Vanessa? Know your place.”
After enduring Gina's insults, Bill walks out of the antique store with the cash bag for Susan. Vanessa watches him depart, unaware of the fatal danger closing in over the next ten minutes.
