Miss Davis gently sends young Leo down the hall to locate his father. She then walks into the interview room, where Director Smith immediately fails her. Director Smith attacks her character, claims her portfolio copies Aqua, and accuses her of hunting for the CEO. Miss Davis stands her ground and refuses the job. She moves toward the exit, but Liam Sterling blocks the door and confronts Director Smith.
In the hallway of Sterling Group, Miss Davis speaks gently to little Leo. She reminds the young boy to go find his father. Leo runs down the corridor, and Miss Davis heads toward her scheduled design interview.
Director Smith delivers an immediate rejection to Miss Davis. He berates her character, claims her sketches copy the master designer Aqua, and accuses her of targeting the CEO. Miss Davis defends her portfolio and angrily declines to join the firm.
Miss Davis turns to leave the room and runs straight into Liam Sterling. The CEO stands directly in the entrance wearing a dark suit. Liam speaks up instantly, questioning Director Smith on the spot for throwing baseless insults at an interviewee.
“I'm sorry, Miss Davis. You didn't pass the interview.”
“Sneaking into Sterling Group to seduce the CEO? Who do you think you are? Sterling Group doesn't want people like you.”
“Since this is Sterling Group's corporate culture, then I don't want to work for a company like this anyway.”
“How come I didn't know that Sterling Group can just slander interviewees like this? Director Smith.”
Liam Sterling stands in the doorway dressed in his dark business suit, cutting off Miss Davis's exit. He looks directly at Director Smith with cold fury and calls him out for slandering a candidate.
