Luna Lin sends Kaito Mori a photo of the warehouse order signed by Rowan Vale. Mori orders her to collect the remaining files and assassinate Rowan. When Luna refuses to commit murder, Mori warns that Rowan will kill her first. Luna pockets her mother's photo and heads downstairs to Rowan's office. At the doorway, she overhears Gideon Shaw presenting Rowan with records of Mori's ongoing payments to her. Luna slips into the stairwell.
Luna photographs the signed warehouse order inside the archive room and sends the image to Mori. Mori texts back immediately. He commands Luna to gather the rest of the company records and then assassinate Rowan once she has them.
Luna texts back and refuses, reminding Mori that killing Rowan was never part of their agreement. Mori texts a warning in response. He tells Luna that Rowan will eliminate her if left alive, and she must finish the job for the truth.
Luna places her mother's photograph into her suit pocket and walks downstairs. She stops outside Rowan's partly open office door. Inside, Gideon Shaw hands Rowan financial documents detailing monthly wire transfers sent from Mori's firm directly to Luna.
Gideon urges Rowan to remove Luna immediately before someone else ends up dead. Rowan mentions Luna's past contract claims. Luna hears footsteps shifting inside the room, steps back from the door frame, and slips quietly into the dark stairwell.
“Once you have all the records kill Vale.”
“Monthly payments from Mori's company. The latest cleared yesterday.”
“She told me she'd done contract work.”
“He's still paying her. Get her out before someone else dies.”
Gideon Shaw tells Rowan Vale to get rid of Luna Lin before another person dies, waving proof of Mori's ongoing money transfers. Hearing movement toward the door, Luna backs away and hides in the stairwell. Will Rowan confront Luna about Mori's money, or will Luna strike first to survive?
