Bond of the Cursed Dragon

Bond of the Cursed Dragon Episode Guide

1. EP 1: Sacrifice and Humiliation

Eighteen years ago, Roland Valerian and Selena Levin fight the black dragon Malkorth. They entrust baby Kane to Ella, then cast a forbidden seal to trap Malkorth inside Kane before turning to stone. In the present day, Kane attends the Aetherlan Academy of Magic as an F-rank student. Jasper, Lucas, and Derek Raymond pin him down while the crowd laughs. Darren Lester runs to get help. Leah Seren uses magical shears to cut Kane's hair off, leaving him weeping on the ground.

2. EP 2: The Magic Test

Professor Gareth stops the bullies and tells everyone to line up for the final magic test. Leah Seren tests first and earns a B-rank with fire magic. Darren Lester scores Rank D, receiving kind encouragement from Gareth. Derek Raymond summons thunderbolts that part the sky. He earns an A-rank, securing a direct spot in the Imperial Zero Mage Corps without an entrance exam. Gareth calls the final student, Kane. Kane places his hands near the orb, and the base crackles with wild energy.

3. EP 3: Awakening of Chaos

The testing screen labels Kane as unranked. Gareth marks a red cross by his name and advises him to drop out. Derek and his group block Kane in the courtyard, trying to grab the tiny dragon charm on his collar. Derek mocks Kane's weak mana, but the testing orb suddenly shatters. A golden beam shoots into the clouds, forming a massive magic circle that summons a giant dragon. Dean Eli and a bearded instructor watch from the tower, shocked to witness legendary S-plus chaos magic.

4. EP 4: Stolen Glory

Seth spots the dragon anomaly from a high tower and rushes to tell Duke Victor that an S-rank mage has appeared. Back on the academy grounds, Derek displays his lightning sparks. Everyone wrongly credits Derek for summoning the dragon. Derek demeans Roland Valerian, sparking Kane's anger. Derek and his followers tell Kane he cannot afford gear for the Magic Forest trial in three days. They chant for Kane to leave school, but Kane resolves to enter the trial to reach the tournament.

5. EP 5: The Dragon in the Attic

Kane returns to Aunt Ella's cottage with his damaged hair. Ella offers all her savings so Kane can purchase equipment for the Magic Forest trial, but he only accepts two coins. Kane heads upstairs to his bedroom attic. His chest begins to glow with dark light. Malkorth emerges as a small dragon, complaining about eighteen years of imprisonment and being stepped on at school. Kane reminds Malkorth that his magic purified him from a mindless monster, while Malkorth furiously rejects the nickname Coalball.

6. EP 6: Entering the Magic Forest

Malkorth tries to convince Kane to unleash his true form to wipe out the bullies. Kane refuses the offer, trims his bangs in the mirror, and leaves the dragon in his room. At the academy courtyard, an official announces the rules for the Magic Forest combat trial: gather magic crystals and survive. Darren and Kane team up despite the crowd calling them a failure alliance. Derek warns Kane that beasts will gnaw on his bones. Kane and Darren touch the portal barrier and step inside.

7. EP 7: The Poison Smoke

A pack of first-tier fang wolves attacks Kane and his teammate in the trial forest. Kane steps up and uses Mudslide Burst and Dancing Water Blades, wiping out the beasts and gathering their crystals. Derek's spying minions watch from nearby bushes. Following Derek's direct orders to kill Kane, they light a beast lure candle that releases purple smoke. Kane notices the poisonous smell spreading across the clearing right as a giant horned serpent breaks through the trees and charges at them.

8. EP 8: The Insect Queen

A second-tier giant serpent attacks Kane and Darren, injuring Darren severely. Kane uses Stone Spear without success, then taps into dragon magic to cast High-Pressure Water Blade. The spell slices the serpent in half. Derek arrives with his followers, boasting that their beast lure worked. Suddenly, a third-tier Insect Queen descends. The beast clarifies that the cheap lure did not summon her. She tracked the magical anomaly to find the true S-rank genius, then lunges directly toward Kane with sharp scythe claws.

9. EP 9: Derek's Rescue

The spider beast corners Derek. Derek uses Raging Thunder Prison while his peers cast spells and defensive scrolls, but the monster breaks through and pins Derek down. Derek screams for his life. Kane yells at the beast, luring it into charging headfirst into a massive tree trunk. The impact kills the monster. Kane carves out the third-tier magic crystal. Derek demands the prize, falsely claiming he weakened the beast first. Kane brushes Derek aside, helps the injured Darren stand, and walks away.
