Darren Lester and Kane run into a pack of first-tier fang wolves. When Darren's magic fails, Kane steps in front of him. Kane combines Mudslide Burst with Dancing Water Blades to defeat every wolf, then picks up their dropped magic crystals.
Two students stationed in the brush observe Kane win the fight. Under strict instructions from Derek Raymond to make sure Kane dies, one of them ignites a beast lure candle. A plume of purple smoke billows outward to summon dangerous beasts.
Kane catches scent of toxic purple smoke drifting through the clearing and realizes the danger. Moments later, a massive horned serpent monster crashes past the trees. The creature rushes toward Kane and Darren Lester as Kane readies his attack.
“Watch out! A pack of first-tier fang wolves!”
“Dancing Water Blades!”
“Young Master Derek said he can't leave this forest alive. This high-grade beast lure will draw second or even third tier monsters. Kane, they'll tear you apart!”
“That smell... something's wrong. It's poisonous.”
The episode closes as a massive horned serpent monster bursts through the purple haze and lunges at Kane and Darren Lester. Kane braces himself to face the beast head-on. Will Kane's spells be enough to survive the rampaging serpent, or will Derek Raymond's deadly trap succeed in taking his life?
