Kane corners Felix inside the tavern and flirts with him. When the innkeeper mocks Felix's dream of practicing medicine, Kane stomps on the man's leg and breaks it. Felix demands that Kane stop hurting people. Kane tells him to report to the tribe's top hospital tomorrow. Felix runs home in frustration. He finds piles of valuables, a bewildered Iris, and noble female healers kneeling outside, begging him to become their chief healer.

Kane grabs Felix from behind in the tavern. Felix pulls away, stating he was born to heal. When the innkeeper laughs at lowborn males practicing medicine, Kane snaps his leg. Kane tells Felix to report to the tribe's best hospital.
