Episode: 5
Hospital recruiters kneel outside Felix's cottage, begging him to work for them after Kane offers a massive reward. Felix turns them away, but couriers immediately dump royal treasure chests in front of his home. Felix warns his mother, Iris, that the tyrant wants him. They pack their bags to run into hiding. Before they can step away, Kane lands on a giant black dragon and surrounds their cottage with armed soldiers.
Representatives from local hospitals drop to their knees in the dirt outside Felix's cottage. They plead with him to join their staff because Kane promised one billion gold coins to whoever hires him. Felix refuses and sends every recruiter away.
Couriers haul stacks of royal chests directly onto Felix's property. Felix demands that the delivery workers take the gifts back. A ram-horned guard stops him, stating that the future queen outranks everyone in the realm, even King Kane himself.
Felix runs inside to speak with his mother, Iris. He explains that Kane has marked him as a target. Iris realizes the danger her son faces, so they both gather their belongings and pack bags to flee their home immediately.
Kane flies in on a colossal black dragon before Felix and Iris can escape. He dismounts and boldly addresses Iris as mother-in-law. Kane then calls forward armed beastkin soldiers, who surround the wooden cottage from all sides.
“Lord Felix, the Beast King issued a decree: whichever hospital recruits you receives one billion gold coins!”
“The queen's word outranks everyone else's. Even the king's.”
“Kane the tyrant has set his sights on me.”
“Mother-in-law.”
Kane traps Felix and Iris right outside their doorstep with a squad of armed soldiers. Felix faces the ruler directly and demands to know what he is doing. With beastkin troops closing in from the woods, can Felix find any way to protect his mother and escape Kane's grasp?
