Tess dry heaves during class, prompting Victor to scold her in front of Knox. Knox intervenes and orders a ten-minute break. In the restroom, Knox checks on her, but Tess claims she only has stomach pain and leaves. A brunette woman in the hallway recognizes the hospital smell on Tess from Knox. Tess visits a doctor for an exam, learns she is carrying triplets, and asks about not keeping the babies.
Tess suddenly dry heaves in the middle of class. Victor reprimands her for losing control in front of Mr. Romano. Knox intervenes immediately and orders Victor to give the entire class a ten-minute break so Tess can step away.
Tess runs cold water over her face at the sink to fight her nausea. Knox walks into the restroom and asks about her health. Tess insists she only has a simple stomachache, turns around, and quickly exits the room.
Tess rushes down the hallway to find a doctor. A brunette woman in a black dress passes her and smells the cheap hospital scent. She realizes Tess spent the night with Knox and glares at her with pure anger.
A doctor hands Tess an ultrasound report and announces she is carrying triplets. Shocked by the news while balancing school and family burdens, Tess asks the doctor what happens if she decides not to keep the babies.
“Victor, this student is unwell. We're taking a ten-minute break.”
“Wait. That smell. Same cheap hospital smell that's been on Knox. Was she the one? That bitch.”
“Congratulations, Tess. You're pregnant. Triplets.”
“These babies, what if I don't keep them?”
Tess sits in the clinic holding the ultrasound report. The doctor has just confirmed that she is pregnant with triplets. Overwhelmed by the heavy demands of her family and nursing school, Tess asks what will happen if she chooses not to keep them. Will Tess go through with ending the pregnancy before Knox finds out?
