Ethan claims making fire is easy, but Chloe and a red-haired girl doubt him. Chloe tells him he must work or starve. During dinner, Ethan feels disgusted by bloody raw meat and gives it to a silver-haired girl. That night, Ethan frets inside a tent over his useless programming skills. Suddenly, a survival system awakens. It grants him two abilities, then flashes an alert about an incoming lethal winter.
Ethan claims starting a fire is not hard at all. A red-haired beast girl and Chloe openly doubt his words. Chloe steps in and tells him that anyone who stays in the settlement must work or starve.
A red-haired cat girl hands out dripping raw meat to the camp. Ethan feels disgusted by the bloody flesh in his hands. He passes his share to a hungry silver-haired cat girl, and she immediately bites into it.
Darkness settles over the quiet campsite. Swarms of ants crawl along the wooden posts in the dark. Outside the tents, a young beast girl holds a spear and keeps watch over the sleeping settlement through the night.
Ethan watches the sleeping beast girls inside the tent. He gets frustrated that his modern coding skills cannot help him here. Suddenly, a system activates and grants him an encyclopedia and the power to sense incoming danger.
A crimson screen suddenly flashes in front of Ethan. The system warns that the Great Winter arrives in forty-seven days. Temperatures will plunge to minus forty degrees for six months, threatening everyone with death unless conditions improve immediately.
“Tell him if he wants to stay he works. Otherwise he starves.”
“Holy shit. A cheat code.”
“Warning. The Great Winter will arrive in forty seven days.”
Ethan stares at the glowing red interface in utter shock. The system states that a harsh winter lasting one hundred eighty days will hit forty-seven days from now, bringing fatal subzero cold. Can Ethan use his new system powers to help the camp prepare shelter and fire before the lethal freeze arrives?
