Episode: 5
At the nighttime campfire, Ethan and Mia trade names while eating cooked meat. Luna begs for food and drifts off against Ethan. Seeing this, Chloe warns Ethan about distant wolf behavior, then plots with Mia to monitor him. At dawn, Luna informs Ethan that a cat girl named Sylva is near death. Ethan runs to the sick tent, examines Sylva's feverish head, and declares that he can heal her cold.
Mia hands Ethan roasted meat by the fire, and they exchange their names. Luna approaches to beg for scraps, then falls asleep against Ethan. Chloe notes that wolfkins rarely trust strangers, then pulls Mia aside to keep Ethan under guard.
Ethan opens his eyes at dawn and spots Luna staring straight at him. She explains Chloe ordered her to guard him. Luna reports that Sylva is suffering from a deadly fever. Ethan leaps up and bolts out of the tent immediately.
Ethan enters the medical tent where Sylva lies unconscious. Mia weeps, and Chloe orders Ethan back to prevent contagion. Ethan checks Sylva's forehead and asks about the cause. After learning she fell into cold water, he announces he can cure her.
“Chloe we gotta keep a close eye on this guy, we can't let him slip away.”
“They said Silver has a severe fever. She's dying.”
“That's just a severe cold. I can cure this.”
Ethan stands over Sylva and states he can heal her, leaving Chloe, Mia, and Luna staring in disbelief. The tribe considers this fever a fatal condition with no remedy. Will Ethan's modern medicine save Sylva's life, or will Chloe and the warriors turn on him if his claim falls flat?
