Episode: 3
Richard tries to crush Ryan by channeling Lunar Force into a glass of Moonwine. Ryan absorbs the energy, boils the liquid with his own power, and drinks it down. At the dinner table, Ella urges Ryan to stay quiet while Luna takes a drumstick. Vera asks Richard why his test failed, then decides to attack Ryan herself. When Vera throws silver knives across the table, Ryan parries each blade and lands a steak on his plate.
Richard pours Moonwine and channels Lunar Force into it to suppress Ryan's bloodline. Ryan absorbs the force without flinching. He scolds Richard, heats the wine to a boil using his inner strength, and downs the entire drink.
Ella checks on Ryan and wonders why her father surrendered. At the table, Luna tries grabbing a whole roast chicken. Ryan teaches Luna proper table manners by handing her a drumstick, and Ella whispers for Ryan to keep a low profile.
Vera asks Richard why his Lunar Force test did not work on their guest. Richard describes Ryan's strange energy absorption to her. Vera refuses to accept the beggar and announces she will test Ryan's combat reflexes herself.
Vera criticizes Ryan's table manners and hurls rapid silver knives across the dining table. Ryan borrows Ella's knife to deflect every flying weapon. He catches an airborne steak on his plate, smiling at his stunned mother-in-law.
“How is that possible? My Lunar Force... was swallowed?!”
“King or beggar, it's still just a glass of wine. No need to get so hung up on the rules.”
“If you want to eat, prove you deserve to.”
“My first day here and my mother-in-law's already feeding me. I'm flattered.”
Ryan cuts into the airborne steak that landed directly on his plate. He smiles and mocks his mother-in-law for feeding him on his very first day in the house. Vera and Richard sit frozen in disbelief. Will Ella's parents accept Ryan's presence, or will they summon outside help to remove him from the penthouse?
