Kara Vale sits on the rooftop terrace with her friend. She complains about a magical potted plant that blooms whenever she feels romantic attraction. In a memory, a single look opened a pink blossom while she held coffee. In the evening, the handsome tenant in a black trench coat walks past them. The plant suddenly bursts with pink flowers. Afterwards, her friend spots a mechanical bird, and an unusual bud sprouts.
Kara Vale talks to her friend on the rooftop terrace. She points at the potted magical plant sitting on the table. Kara complains that its blossoms snitch on her private emotions whenever it blooms in front of others.
In a flashback, Kara sits with a cup of coffee on the terrace. She tries hard to avoid looking at someone nearby. The moment she glances up, a single pink flower pops open, and Kara groans in total defeat.
Evening falls over the terrace. Kara's friend sits quietly and sketches the plant inside a notebook. Suddenly, the rooftop door opens, and the handsome tenant steps outside wearing a dark black trench coat.
The handsome tenant walks directly past their table. As he steps by, the potted plant erupts into a full cluster of vibrant pink flowers. Kara stares at the overwhelming burst of blooms in disbelief and speaks up.
Kara's friend finds a small metallic mechanical bird resting on the wooden deck. Both women lean in closer toward the potted plant. Among the pink blossoms, they spot an unusual, unfamiliar bud growing on the stem.
“That plant is a snitch.”
“It's a plant.”
“A snitch with leaves.”
“OK. That's excessive.”
Night deepens over the terrace as Kara Vale and her friend inspect and photograph the strange growth. The small mechanical bird rests silently on the deck beside them. Who dropped the metallic bird on the rooftop floor, and what will happen when the plant's mysterious new bud opens?
