A helicopter lands on the cruise ship Liberty. Vincent Moretti arrives in the ballroom with Isabella and Mia, intending to outbid Alaric Voss. By the dessert table, Mia attacks Laila, pushes her down, and rips away her mother's locket. Vincent sides with Mia and falsely blames Laila for stealing. He holds the pendant high in the air, demanding an apology while Laila desperately tries to grab it back.
Night falls over the water as a helicopter descends toward the luxury cruise ship Liberty. The aircraft lands directly on the ship's helipad as guests gather inside for the evening event.
Guests in the ballroom banquet hall gossip about the Voss family facing cash flow trouble. Vincent Moretti walks in alongside Isabella and Mia. He acts confident that he will beat Alaric Voss during tonight's cargo auction.
A waiter tells Laila that Alaric and Jaden Voss will arrive soon. When Laila reaches for a macaron, Mia violently pushes her to the floor. Laila scrapes her knee while Mia insults the girl and her mother.
Mia notices the necklace around Laila's neck and tears it away by force. Laila cries on the floor and pleads for her mother's keepsake back, but Mia laughs and continues to mock her.
Vincent approaches the dessert table, and Mia lies that Laila pushed her and tried to steal. Vincent scolds Laila and holds the pendant out of reach, demanding an apology before Laila will ever see it again.
“Daddy only has one daughter. Me! You're just like your mother, a filthy beggar nobody wants!”
“Don't you say that about Mommy! I dumped Vincent! My daddy is Alaric Voss!”
“Apologize to Mia, and I'll give it back.”
“Then you'll never see it again.”
Vincent raises the pendant high in the air, telling Laila she will never get it back without an apology. Laila refuses to say sorry and jumps up to snatch her mother's keepsake from his hand. Will Alaric and Jaden arrive in time to protect Laila and reclaim the stolen locket from Vincent?
