Bruce grabs Cedric by the throat with one hand and summons a ball of flame to stop him from assaulting Diana. Instead of being grateful, Diana gets furious and orders her husband to let Cedric go immediately.

Diana chases Bruce down to scold him for acting impulsively toward the savior who settled the Dragon conflict. Bruce scoffs at her belief in Cedric's power. He says that shielding her for twenty years stopped her from growing up.
“I said apologize!”
“I'll let this go today for Diana's sake.”
“Cedric is a savior to the Elves. He helped resolve the conflict with the Dragons.”
“I must have protected you too well all these years.”
Bruce speaks plainly to Diana about her foolishness, stating that his protection kept her from growing up. Diana remains standing in the corridor without a word. Will she ever understand that Bruce saved the Elves from the Dragons, or will she keep putting all her faith in Cedric?
