Bruce reveals to Diana and her parents that he negotiated the peace treaty with the Dragons himself. Her family refuses to believe him and calls him a useless liar. Diana's parents push her to divorce him, pointing out that King John died twenty years ago. Diana threatens to divorce Bruce if he does not apologize for his behavior. Her father claims Bruce will crawl back on his knees. Bruce looks at them calmly and agrees to the divorce without hesitation. Diana and her parents stand frozen in pure shock at his response.
