Severely injured Emily Bennett lies in bed while Aurelia Bennett takes credit for saving Crown Prince Julian Ashford. Their parents support Aurelia and lock Emily away. Emily survives in a woodshed by eating weeds and acting insane. On Aurelia's wedding eve, Emily drugs her sister, locks her room, and takes the bridal sedan chair. During the wedding night, the family bursts in. An enraged Julian chokes Emily, who touches his chest and feigns madness.

  1. 00:00: A Stolen Rescue and Imprisonment

    Emily Bennett lies wounded in bed after saving Julian Ashford. Aurelia Bennett claims the deed as her own. George Bennett and Janet Bennett support Aurelia's claim. George orders guards to confine Emily indoors to keep her quiet.

  2. 00:49: Surviving in the Desolate Yard

    Emily stays in a ruined woodshed with unhealed wounds. To stay alive in the household, she acts completely crazy in front of everyone. She gathers weeds from the ground, chews on them, and pretends her mind is gone.

  3. 00:56: Switching Places on Wedding Eve

    On the night before the wedding, Emily secretly drugs Aurelia into unconsciousness. She locks Aurelia inside the room. Emily puts on the red bridal gown, covers her face with the veil, and steps into the imperial sedan chair.

  4. 01:16: Confrontation in the Bridal Chamber

    Aurelia bursts into the prince's bedchamber with George and Janet, exposing Emily. Julian Ashford grabs Emily by the neck in anger. Emily rubs his abdominal muscles and giggles foolishly, leaving Julian confused about her true mental state.
