A servant gives Pebble Bennett silver and banishes her to a rural estate outside the capital. A flashback shows Pebble waking up injured in bed. Janet Bennett and George Bennett order her to surrender credit for saving the Crown Prince to her twin sister Aurelia. Aurelia brags about stealing her deed. Lanterns fill the courtyard as Aurelia receives an imperial decree, while Pebble watches silently from the pillars.
A servant hands Pebble Bennett a pouch of silver outside the estate. He delivers George Bennett's command sending her to a suburban manor without permission to return. The servant then shuts the heavy gates of the Bennett household directly in her face.
An injured Pebble wakes up in bed. Janet Bennett orders her not to claim credit for saving the prince. George Bennett calls Pebble an uncouth savage who would disgrace them. Aurelia Bennett boasts that their identical faces let her take the credit.
The Bennett household hangs lanterns to welcome a palace eunuch with an imperial decree. Aurelia Bennett smiles brightly as she kneels to receive the royal honor. Pebble stands alone beneath the courtyard pillars, staring coldly at the noisy celebration.
“老爷说了，去京郊庄子上住，没有吩咐不得回府。”
“醒了就听好，救太子的功劳让给你姐姐，你不准去抢。”
“你姐姐在我们膝下养大，只有她配得上东宫。你这样的乡野蛮子，嫁过去只会给我们宋家丢脸！”
