When she woke up from her injuries, her parents stood over her. Past memories show Pebble's difficult birth left Janet bedridden for months. During their naming ceremony, Aurelia received an honored name while Pebble received a discarded name.

  1. 00:00: Accusations in the Royal Bedchamber

    Aurelia stands before Crown Prince Julian Ashford and points at Pebble. She shouts that Pebble only pretended to be crazy for the past year. She tells Julian that her younger sister fooled everyone around them the entire time.

  2. 00:14: The Rescue in the Grove

    A flashback moves to a bamboo grove on the back hill one year earlier. Pebble jumps in front of an assassin's blade to protect the Crown Prince. She hauls him onto her back, walks to the capital, and drops to the ground.

  3. 00:30: Awakening to Cold Parents

    Pebble opens her eyes in her bedroom after recovering from the deep wound. George and Janet Bennett stand by her bedside. Pebble realizes the situation has completely shifted, and she thinks back to her place as the younger twin.

  4. 00:50: The Birth of the Twins

    A memory returns to the delivery room on the night the sisters were born. Pebble’s birth causes severe complications for Janet. The painful labor leaves their mother trapped in bed for six long months after the delivery.

  5. 01:06: The Naming Ceremony

    The Bennett family gathers in the grand hall for the naming ceremony. The parents grant the elder daughter the cherished name Baorong. They give Pebble the discarded name Qizhu. Young Aurelia orders young Pebble to obey her always.
